"So when am I gonna transfer?"πŸ™ƒ

President Boss (during lunch at Kumamoto zone conference on Tuesday): "Another zone conference down"

Me: "Yea, it was pretty good! ... So when am I gonna transfer?"
Pres: "You're already trying to get out?"
Me: "haha no, I'll stay here as long as you need me to" ... πŸ˜“

What's up everyone! It's your boy Elder Rasmussen, who decided to make sure he actually sends an email that has spiritual stuff in it this week!

Last weeks effective working hours in Fukuoka: (a normal day is 12 working hours)

Tuesday: 0
Wednesday: 3.5 or 4

That's why I joked about transferring, I miss missionary work :( But we get to do a lot of other great work! Its also super important! This week we went to Kumamoto and to Okinawa for zone conferences and exchanges, and also had an exchange in Fukuoka in that Wednesday night/Thursday morning gap!

New Friend! Towa san!
Towa is the name of a dude we found through Hellotalk, a language learning app! He came to church yesterday and it was a really good experience, after 2nd hour we had a lesson and taught him about the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ! He's got super high potential! (2 members came up after elders quorum and told me that he was going to get baptized! so hopefully they're right!)

President and Sister Boss went to Ishigaki island (my first area) for church yesterday and there was a baptism after church!

One of my old friends in Shimonoseki got baptized last week! His name is Kato san, and he was the first person I gave a blessing to in Japanese! I'm so happy he finally chose to be baptized and join the fold of God.

Today I want to testify about the influence of the spirit in our lives. Throughout my mission I have watched so many people be changed through the spirit. People who were lost, lonely, or hurting have been healed and found purpose in their life and joy in the gospel. When our friend Towa san coming to church for the first time I saw a change in him. I think that's what the members saw too. He was there to learn and grow, and that's what he did. The Gospel of Jesus Christ does math I can't do. It solves problems that I don't know the answers to. That's why I do all I can do and all I know how to do to help those around me have access to the changing and growing power of the Atonement.

Tonight I have the opportunity to meet with some of God's children again to teach them about Him and His power. First we are meeting a set of twins and their friend. The twins used to play baseball in America, one of them was the pitcher and the other was the catcher. Their future was set, they were good, worked well, and were on their way. But then one day, in training, the pitcher injured his shoulder, disabling him from pitching in a game for the rest of his life. That led the twins to come back to Japan with crushed dreams and find normal jobs. I know that they can find purpose in life and in this church. It is my prayer that me and Elder Casinillo will be able to speak and teach by the spirit and that they can learn by that same power.

We are also meeting someone named Satoshi, it will be our first time meeting with him from the same app we found Towa san from, Hellotalk. I don't know him or his problems, but I know that God loves him and wants him to know that.

Last week on Okinawa I ate Panda Express, a Philly cheese steak, hamburger, and hot dogs. :0 I feel so American. Also another missionary gave us nutella and root beer. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²
