The last three...

Hello everyone! We had our last three zone conferences this last week! We went to Kumamoto, Saga (for Nagasaki zone), and Yamaguchi (in Shimonoseki 😍, my favorite area)!

Highlights:
I tore my meniscus (I'll go to the doctor tomorrow to get it looked at...hopefully I don't need surgery) It actually happened 3 weeks ago and I've been limping through all the zone conferences and I just finally convinced myself something was actually wrong 😅 hopefully either no surgery or quick recovery so I don't have to go home 😓

Kumamoto ZC: there was yummy dessert that was kinda like strawberry shortcake!

Nagasaki ZC: We rode up with the Mission president and his wife since we still can't drive our car (no licenses), we left at like 7:00am so I didn't have time to exercise (missionaries please exercise everyday so you don't tear your meniscuses) (that's also not necessarily true though because I exercise my 30 minutes every day and still managed it)

Yamaguchi ZC: We rode with the Mission president again! We also had to leave at 6:30am so that was an early morning 😅 I got to see the Obachans again! Sister Hiramatsu called me her grandson again 😂 and then Sister Kiyomi tried to say I was her grandson, but then Sister Hiramatsu corrected her and said I was more like her son. Hiramatsu shimai also gave me and my companion 2000 yen worth of Baskin Robbins gift cards... and then asked what kind of gift card I wanted next transfer...I'm being spoiled... I got to see brother Ayumu again too! He is trying to decide when he should leave on his mission. Please pray for him to have the guidance of the spirit and also for his family!

We had 5 planned lessons and lots of finding time too! There's always time for missionary work! We found this one grandpa from housing and he told us about America bombing Iran and we didn't know about it... But he wants to learn about prophets and president Nelson so I'm going back next week when we are on exchanges!

Speaking of exchanges, last week I exchanged with Elder Multamaki! He's from Finland and is super cool! His Japanese is so good paired with his amazing missionary work skills, hands down the best housing I've ever seen! He's so good at finding needs and getting people to share! He was in the MTC at the same time as me but has to go home 2 transfers early because of school, so sad that we are losing him. :'(

On Saturday we had Culture night! The other missionaries did the Hula and the Haka (but we were always busy and couldn't go to practice so we didn't participate), videos on the album! Between all the missionaries probably about 20 investigators came, we were supposed to have 3, but 2 canceled so only 1 came, but it was such a good experience for him! He wants to come to church on Sunday now! Also funny thing, we met that friend online, and he was using a fake name and didn't tell us until Saturday night 🤣

OK well its pouring, but its also time to go housing so....ill be squelching home in a few hours. But I'm so sad I can only squelch home for the Lord for the next 7 months so ill take any chance I get.

Love ya!
Elder Rasmussen
