A Week of SNS Miracles

Hello everyone! This past week was the last week of normal missionary work for me for a few weeks 😅 Next week we have Mission Leadership Council, exchanges here in Fukuoka, then we fly to okinawa for zone conference and exchange there too. We will get back just in time for lessons with our new friends we found last week! We found 4 new guys in their 20s (1 is actually 18) and I could totally see 2 of them being baptized this transfer! They were all met up with from Hellotalk, a language -exchange app!

Jaesu san! He is from Tokyo but moved to Fukuoka 10 years ago when he was about 8 years old! I had sent a few messages to him and then he asked me if i "knew this place" and then sent me the address of the church. He always biked past it on his way to school and he thought it was some kind of international school since he always saw a bunch of foreigners going in and out. He wants to go to a college in Texas starting this winter! He came for a church tour on Friday and then to the YSA sports activities on Saturday! He was at the church for probably about 5 hours total Saturday, a lot of which we weren't even there with him. He was talking to one of the Japanese missionaries and asking lots of questions about the church. He also went to the same highschool as one of the members so they had seen each other before and are now friends! He wasn't able to come to church yesterday because he had to work, but hopefully he'll be able to come soon! We have a lesson tonight where we plan to teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and then invite him to be baptized!

Yesterday after church we had 2 lessons at a park right after each other, the first one was named Daiki and the second was named Taiki. Taiki's lesson went way longer than planned, but he answered lots of mine and Elder Wendel's questions about our driving tests (Elder Wendel takes his tomorrow) and then we taught him the entire restoration and plan of salvation :o  ... And he liked it.

At this point you'd think I could speak Japanese, and sometimes... so do I. But then I get on a call with just a bunch of 70 year old Japanese service missionaries and I realize that I have just begun.

Justin graduated this week! Congratulations!

I love yall!
