Yatsushiro Christmas!

Hello! I hope you had a Merry Christmas? Christmas I finally got to open all of the presents from my parents! I got a little book by President Holland and I'm excited to read it! I had dinner at the branch President's parents' house on Tuesday! Three friends and two other members came. We ate yakiniku at their house! It was delicious! I made a gingerbread house with my companion! There are pictures below! Last week's Missionary Word! We were able to work with many members last week! We got three joints! That's great for Yatsushiro! There were none the 2 weeks before. We met one new friend. I found a Myanmar person named Aye on Facebook. We also are planning on meeting up with Emma, someone from a facebook ad, but we weren't able to get a joint so we had to cancel. She didn't want to call on zoom because she lives with all the other workers on the farm and can't call privately Mai! I think Mai is a really prepared person. She has relatives in Texas who are members of the church! She has come to church twice. I think she will probably be baptized the week after next! (I've just got that feeling...we haven't taught any commandments yet) Yesterday we taught Mai-san the plan of salvation. It was really difficult... I taught her in English. I think it was my first time teaching the plan of salvation in English. Japanese is easier! Akmal-san's baptism date was yesterday, but he didn't get baptized. It's difficult for him to come to church, so I think he will be baptized when he gets a new job next year, but I don't know where he will move. New Year's I'm planning to go to the branch president's house again the day after tomorrow! Our friends are coming too! It's my first New Year's in Japan, so I'm excited! Thank you for reading! Merry Chirstmas and a Happy New Year! Bye-bye Elder Rasmussen (if you couldn't tell this was also translated from japanese to english... sorry... i adjusted the really weird parts) Pics: https://photos.app.goo.gl/LKr5qY3i11DHJsTs6
