Tsuno Shima! Transfers??

Hello hello hello! I want to tell you all that I love yall!

Today we got to go to a place called Tsuno Shima! Chelsea shimai drove us there with the Sisters and Kato san! After we drove around there for a bit we went to Chelsea shimais house where she and kato san built a pizza stove! We made some oishi pizza!

This is the last week of the transfer so if the APs weren't lying then I'm gettinig transfered but I don't know! I've only been here for 5 weeks so it'd be so sad to leave. The branch here is so nice!

Matsumoto san hasn't decided to get baptized yet but I think he hopefully will! He said that God guides him always and I asked recently how he has been guided and he said "By telling me to always come to this church." I think he needs to understand what that means!

I love our Zone Leaders and Sister Training Leaders so much! They are amazing, I hope if I stay here they all do aswell! This past week I got to go on an exchange with my amazing ZL Mizuguchi choro! He is such an amazing missionary! We talked only in Japanese all day! It was so much fun! I miss having a japanese companion, but there are also hard things with americans that japanese people dont have lol. I love being companions with everyone! I love exchanges too! I get to learn so much about so many people!

Japanese Institute!
Elder Mizuguchi gave me like 4 years worth of the BYU Japanese institute class! I have been watching one everymorning since tuesday! They are so amazing! They are about an hour and a half long so I start it whileI excersize, make breakfast, and get ready for the day and they are like the perfect length! I have loved listening to them! Japanese is so much fun! Of course there are occasionally some words I don't understand but I understand pretty much all of it! The teacher is such an amazing teacher, his personal experiences and knowledge of the Book of Mormon is so amazing! I want to teach like him! One of the things he talked about that I really liked was this!

Nowadays everyone can have access to the scriptures and words of the modern day prophets for free with no real work! If we read from the Book of Mormon we can find the Prophet Moroni's promise about how we can know if the Book of Mormon is true or not! If we read it,pray to God in th name of Jesus Christ with real intent to act on our answer then we will know of its truth by the power of the Holy Ghost! But back then before there was printing presses or iphones what did they do? Prophets like Lehi where there to teach the people by the power of God, but exactly the same as it is today when we read the Book of Mormon, we have to know the truth through the Holy Ghost.
Nephi gave us a great example of how we can do that. In 1st Nephi 11-12 Lehi tells his family of a very large vision that he saw pertaining the their decendants and all the decendants of the Earth! Nephi, his son, wanted to know if these things were true, so in 1st Nephi 13 he goes and prays to ask God if the things his father spoke of were true. He had the desire to know these things for himself. Nephi received a vision as a result of his faithful prayer. In this vision he saw so much. He saw the coming of the Savior of the world! He, saw things that would happen 600 years in the future and even further after that, he saw us in our day.
Nephi received the truth from their source of truth and prayed to know for himself if it was true. You can do that too. Nephi already had an expansive knowledge of spiritual things that his father had previously taught. But when Nephi recognized his need for truth, and prayed for it, he received it. I promise that you can receive that truth aswell.

Fire drill during Sunday School??
Yep, this week during the 2nd hour of church we had a fire drill! The youth brought a smoke machine in the hallway by the adult class, let it fill up with smoke and then opened the doors and we had our drill! Also I've never ever seen this before but they gave us clear trash bags to put over our heads to simulate if there was smoke! We became astronauts! Pics on the album!

Elder Rasmussen! :)

Also sorry to my children and grandchildren, I've been writing my journal in Kanji because japanese is fun! Good luck! (I also put english sometimes if I have time)

Sorry I forgot to say we helped harvest sweet potatoes for a food bank for like 4 hours! Elder Miller (from idaho) is a pro!
