The Path of Least Resistance, Probably isn't the Correct Path

Sheesh I don't even know what week it is! Probably almost Day 200 maybe! This week is done! Another week in the books! (Or I guess in the email, I haven't journaled in a bit) (I always keep a spiritual journal, but my daily activities journal is a little bit empty...)

The Path of Least Resistance
This week I was studying President Monson's teachings (Chapter 7 of his book) titled "Finding Joy in the Journey." It was so fantastic! I learned so much! President Monson's words reminded me a lot of Elder Uchtdorf's most recent talk about looking for joy. We do not find joy, we make it, and we can't make it if we don't look for it. From that I made a training for my District about finding joy in missionary work! There are only 4 Elders in the district (and a senior couple), 2 of the Elders just came to the mission the week before last, and Elder Hashimoto and I came 3 transfers ago... Pretty young district lol. But every day this week when we did our daily planning sessions we also planned how we were going to make joy! Every morning we made plans and then reported them at night! It was so much fun! I love everyone in my district so much! President Monson gave 4 steps to Find joy in the journey:
1. Doing things that matter most will help us find joy.
2. The process of planning, working, and creating provides enduring satisfaction.
3. We can be of good cheer even during life's challenges.
4. True joy comes from loving and serving others.
Looking back, I have found the most joy in my life from doing those things. I want to make sure I am always doing them so that I can feel that joy forever. The scriptures teach us that we will be restored to that which we were in this life, if we are joyful here, we will have joy forever. Don't wait until the next life, next year, next paycheck, or even tomorrow to try to find joy. Make it today, make it now. (Crazy how much joy you can get from a bike ride to a lesson if you just smile and look around you)

In last weeks Come Follow Me there was a video that I watched about shining our light! It explained the importance of where we shine that light, we need to shine it to the path that brought us too it, that way the path will be illuminated for those around us to follow and gain that light too!

There was a new Book of Mormon video released recently about the 2000 Stripling warriors. I watched it in Japanese and when I did I really felt the importance of prayer. They prayed before and after their battles, cries for help, and cries of gratitude. Their mothers and families prayed for them. Today when I was calling my family they asked if there was any of our friends that they could pray for, I'm so glad that they raised me as the Stripling Warriors parents did, I'm glad they support me as their parents do, even when it is hard sometimes to say goodbye.

Also tell me why the apple juice I drank was so good??? I drank 1.5L in like 16 hours (including 8 hours of sleeping time)

I Love yall so much!
Elder Rasmussen :)
