Goodbye Nagao Choro!

One AP down, one to go. You're next Johnson Choro.

This week was great! We were super busy and did lots of great work! We eat such cool tropical fruits here, our branch President, Chibana kaichyo, works on a farm that grows papaya, dragon fruit, guava, jackfruit, mangos, bananas, passion fruit and probably more. We visited him today during work since its pday and he gave us a big shopping basket full of dragon fruit and passion fruit!

 Teaching by Testimony 
This week I started going through each lesson point in Preach My Gospel and writing out in english how I should introduce it. Through doing that and trying to make it simple but powerful I realized how much I'm growing. After studying about the Book of Mormon from PMG I started to write how I wanted to introduce it, thid is what i wrote "Today I want to share with you the greatest blessing in my life. This blessing is a Book about God given to us as a gift from God. I have read this book everyday for the last 7 years and the blessings have been greater than I thought possible. _Your Name_, you csn receive all these blessings too. This book is called The Book of Mormon..." The Book of Mormon will bless your life if you read, pray, ponder, and then act. If you apply its teachings to your life you will receive these blessings and an Eternity more. Read by yourself, with your mom, with your children, with your spouse, with your friends, and not only your life will change.

 Eternal Destiny and Change
I know that the purpose of our lives is to prepare us for our Eternal Destiny. The only way we can achieve that destiny is through change. Change often hurts or is scary, but because we expierience those things we learn and grow. In Alma 36:21 Alma the Younger is finishing retelling his conversion story and he says this: "there could be nothing so exquisite and bitter as were my pains" he quickly continues by saying "there can be nothing so exquisite and sweet as was my joy."  This step in Alma's life was crucial to him being worthy of his Eternal Destiny, if he hadn't felt the bitter he wouldn't have known how to feel the sweet. We learn from change how to be more like Christ. God does not punish the righteous, if you are acting worthily, you can know with certainty that all the trails and challenges you face are given by God do help you grow. God knows what you can handle now and he knows what you will need to handle in the future. Right now you can't handle that, but through Him and these trails, you can learn how to handle those things.

There is only one person who has helped me more than my parents, taught me more than my teachers, and who has given me purpose in life. This is God. God is our loving Heavenly Father. He knows you personally and He loves you.

I love the future so much! It's so amazing! This life and the next are going to be so great!

Fukuoka???

Hello! Well, I got transferred. I'm now in Fukuoka, Japan, the biggest city in the mission! I'm companions with Elder Wendel and we are the APs (Assistant to the Mission President). It was a crazy week with all the new missionaries coming in and the old ones leaving, so lets get into it!  Tuesday: We had our mission-wide transfer announcement zoom at 9:30 pm, but President Boss called me at around 9:15 and asked if I would be willing to serve as AP. Then I started packing to leave Thursday morning! Wednesday: Finished packing and said bye to all the people in Kitakyushu Thursday: Put my suitcases in the car and drove down to Fukuoka, easiest transfer ever. We parked at the temple and took everything across the street to my new apartment.    We went to hakata station to get the trainers ready for training, and then had lunch and dinner with the new missionaries.  Friday: We ate sukiyaki at the mission home with the returning missionaries and then had a ...

I accidently started writing this in Japanese

Hello everyone! Welcome back to another weekly email! We had a nice week so buckle in. Companion exchange! I exchanged with a missionary named Elder Takamura! He just came to our mission a few weeks ago from his original assignment in New Zealand. He will finish his mission in November! It was a pretty busy exchange, we had 4 lessons right after we got back from Yamaguchi, and then the next morning before we switched back, we had 1 more lesson. We invited 2 of those 5 friends to baptism and they both didn't really go as planned, but were still really good lessons. We only had 30 minutes to go streeting/housing, but it was super yokatta (good)! After I finished talking to the first people we stopped elder Takamura said something like this "Wow...this is why you have so many progressing investigators"   All I did was invite them to come unto Christ.
