Jared's Mission

Hello everyone! I hope you've had a good week! I got sick a few days ago and the medical health coordinator said to cancel our appointments and stay inside   so it's been kinda boring, but we stay busy! (It's not like some crazy disease or anything, but she said just to wait it out at home) But we've had lots of lesson over calls! We taught daisy all of the commandments! And she committed to keep them as she continues to prep to be baptized! Lyka decided to stop meeting with us which is sad, she was on baptismal date too, but since the Book of mormon is hard to understand she says she thinks she's sinning and then cut contact  but it's ok! Seed planted! I know she felt the spirit and one day she can message me to learn more about the church! I've been not really hungry since I got sick so eating has been hard. Good morning family and friends!  We've had a busy week! We had lots of first meetings from facebook and lots of other finding!  Highlights: Tuesday: Exchange with Elder Hattori after DCM! That was cool, we did some housing! There is someone named Daisy who I've been messaging on facebook recently and she told us that she wanted to come to church, she wasn't able to come the week before last, but we met her while we were housing! He has a really rough situation where sometimes she isn't safe in her own house, but we got there right as she needed us to. It was a blessing for her. Wednesday: We met up with a new dude from facebook, his resturant is nearby the college in yatsushiro so we tried to do some finding over there! it wasn't the greatest, but I want to try again! Saturday: Trip to Hitoyoshi! My area has 3 main cities: Yatsushiro, Hitoyoshi, and Minamata. I was able to go to minamata once to visit a member, and this Saturday I was able to go to Hitoyoshi! Hey everyone, my head is all barabara right now. (All over the place, japanese onomatopoeia are so funny) I'm writing this email while listening to Elder Uchtdorf's devotional. I felt a strong spiritual impression that I'm contributing to building Zion by doing what God wants me to do. Elder Uchtdorf shared a scripture that I love: John 15:19 "If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you." We are His. Because of that, He loves us. Of course age loves those who have lost sight of or never have seen His glory, but He sees you. He sees what you are doing, and He is grateful for you. Hello world! Jared is back with another week of missionary work! Monday: let my comp use my hair clippers and...I had to go help him so I spedrun last weeks email. Some peoples hair is good and ... others are going bald ... joke he isn't going bald its just not my hair so I don't know how to cut it (his hairline is a little bit receeding on the side but dont tell him). Tuesday: Another Zoom DCM, that was fun. Then we visited some single elderly members in the branch, I love their Japanese, its so fun :D (I love Japanese) We were going to one of their neighbors for a return appointment (after we visited her last week we did some housing near her house) but the house he was at before aparently wasn't his house. (He was just sitting on the back porch) So that was awkward, we never found him. We had planned a lesson for our friend Kate that night. Kate had been progressing lots but her family doesn't support her getting baptized so her date is off, and she is getting harder...
